The chord progression in Let It Be is also very simlar to Pachelbels's Canon in D. FWIW.
I-V-vi-IV is a very popular progression! Thanks for posting, I might use some of those songs for my Group Piano II class.
As a radio announcer, I now know why people complain about hearing the same songs on the radio all the time....

Someone told me that the do-op (sp?)music has the same background music behind all the songs. They then demonstrated on the piano for me. Interesting.
