Good Friday evening Scalpel,
That story was enough to make my chest get tight ! Poor girl !
It is true, so much of my good health I take for granted -- that story is an example of why I should be grateful for it every second of the day --
I was taking slow deep breaths while reading it. Well written post.
I have a friend who is disabled due to asthma. In her 40s and has the lungs of a 117 year old women.
I worked with her for a long time at the hospital and she never complained even though some nights were obviously worse than others. She always figures what better place to work if she can't breathe.
She used her inhaler often and was always wound up from the prednisone. (don't remember spelling of that.)
I have never met a more positive person then her. On her good days she embraces life and then she rests when forced too.
